Blaenrhondda Park
Visited immediately after my abrupt departure from Ferndale, my visit to Blaenrhondda Park could not have been
more of a contrast. I arrived just as the 'parkies' left for home. The local youngsters - too young for cider - were
waiting, and immediately ran to get a trolley from where it had been parked overnight. Their evening activity was
to jump on and use it as a kart down the steep path leading to the ground! Oblivious to my arrival I was able to
take my time in photographing a marvellous ground. It has good terracing, is dominated by a nearby hillside,
and has no rival in clubs with public park-based facilities.
