The Goldstone Ground
Please note that this page loads slowly - please be patient! My second visit was in February 1997 when the ground had but a few games still to be played before it was cynically demolished. I walked around the entire ground, shooting almost a whole roll of film. The ground was showing some signs of neglect, with some areas of terracing clearly no longer in use. The loss of the unique floodlights, strangely thin, with a slight tilt at the top, sum up the loss suffered - in no way can any new ground completely replace what was 'home' to Albion fans for so many years. |
