Football League & Scottish League Grounds Frenzy |
|
I grew up believing that everyone must live within walking
distance from a football league ground - after all I could walk to watch the Palace, and
when we moved to South Wales I could walk to see the Swans! Being spoilt like this until I
was twenty meant that I soon gave up on watching League football when a further move meant
I had to travel to see a home game. I decided that I preferred to make a journey worthwhile
and get to a new non-League ground rather than traipse across South London to an
increasingly depressing Selhurst Park.
Only in recent years have I re-discovered the pleasure of a large traditional ground, and
with a new wide angle lens I could at last include most of the ground in a single photo.
Included in this section will be traditional grounds, with all-seaters accepted under
strict ground taste regulations. Hey! Why has no-one suggested that a
traditional Kop
terrace be preserved?!!
