Football League & Scottish League Grounds Frenzy

Motherwell FC

Fir Park
During a hectic 'Grounds Frenzy' journey around Glasgow we arrived in Motherwell... and very nearly didn't call in to Fir Park. I had seen the ground so many times from the train, and considered the Motorola stand to be hideous, that my vote was to pass by. Luckily common sense prevailed and in we went, with permission of course.

Chief Executive Pat Nevin was being interviewed and photographed as we walked down the touchline, but he still took the trouble to say 'hello'. The apparent monster of the South Stand is sensibly encased for the protection of those watching, the only oddity being the steel structure extending unused beyond the present end of the main stand. Yes, I was wrong - this ground is OK!
