Non-League Football Grounds Frenzy |

Aldershot F.C. |

In my opinion, this is the best traditional non-League ground currently being played upon. I took the opportunity of visiting the re-formed Aldershot Town with Dave West, Big Andy, and the Travelling Numpty Army of Croydon lads in the Spring of 1997, with the luxury of an away terrace to be shared between no more than a dozen fans. Some may criticise the ground for being three sided, as the road end is no more than a tarmac path, but the two covered terraces and sizeable stand make up for any shortcomings. What really appeals to me at the ground is the barrel-roofed covered end terrace, and the sheer size of the club's support - 1700 at the game I attended. The Main Stand is a minor disappointment - but this is a ground for the fan of terracing as there is masses of the stuff, and most of it is covered. Who is to say that this club do not deserve to reclaim their place in the Football League?
